Project Winter Survival was featured in the Community Updates section of the Ward 15 January 2014 newsletter:
Pack Day – Saturday January 18, 2014: Together over 100 Volunteers will pack 3000 Winter Survival Kits for the Homeless and those most in need within our communities. Pack Day will take place at 894 Caledonia, lunch and beverages will be provided. They are pleased to have the continued support of the Toronto Police, CIBC, Scotiabank, Tracy Moore Host of Cityline, YIPI (Youth in Policing Initiative) and many more.
Distribution Day – Saturday January 25, 2014: Together teams of volunteers will load Winter Survival Kits into the vehicles to send to over 150 shelters and agencies across the city.
It is an inspiration to see our local businesses giving back to the community.
